Prayer For The Church

Prayer For The Church

The number one mission of Satan is to destroy the Church of Jesus Christ. But the word of God declares: ‘… I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.’ (Matthew 16:18) This is true! Yet one way to join forces with the Lord for the keeping, preservation and safety of the church is to pray. History has taught the church that if she doesn’t pray, stand firm for the word of God, boldly declare her faith and resist the devil with all boldness, Satan may silence and prevail against it locally even though not globally. That’s why you and I (the individual member of the body of Christ) should pray for the church. So, this post is list of intercessory prayer points for the church that will give you a head start as you stand in the place of prayer for the church. They are bible based and will most always receive the attention of...

Pray For Ghana

Pray For Ghana

LET'S JOIN HAND TO PRAY FOR GHANA Today we shall be engaging in fervent prayer for the land, people and Church of Ghana. Formerly called the Gold Coast, Ghana is Africa’s biggest gold miners after South Africa. It is located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean in the sub region of West African. The name comes from the ancient Ghana Empire which means “warrior king”. They were the first African country to gain independence from the colonial powers in March 6th, 1957. They have enjoyed increasingly stable and deepening democratic governance, youth and gender empowerment. They are rich in mineral resources and endowed with a good education system and efficient civil service, they have also made significant progress in poverty reduction. Nonetheless Ghana began to have problems when they fell victim to corruption and mismanagement of national resources just after independence. They have suffered constraints of basic infrastructure such as feeder roads that links their economic activity to urban market centers,...

O Lord, Revive thy Work

O Lord, Revive thy Work

O Lord, revive thy work – Habakkuk 3:2; 2Chr 7:14; Psalm 85: 6 This phrase is taken from a prayer by the prophet Habakkuk.  Hearing what the Lord had said, he was afraid because it involved the destruction of Judah.  He prays that God will manifest His wrath upon Judah and Chaldea, but he also asks Him to be merciful.  He wanted God to discipline Judah and destroy Babylon.  It was a prayer for a fresh manifestation of God’s power along with a full measure of His pardon. It seems to me that our nations of the earth are in line for the wrath of God to be manifested.  If there ever was a day when a spiritual revival was desperately needed, it is now. Let’s look deep into the affairs of the Church today and consider the wickedness and rejection of God among the nations of the earth today. We need some kind of a reawakening from a state of spiritual stagnation to a...

HABAKKUK: A PRAYER FOR REVIVAL

HABAKKUK: A PRAYER FOR REVIVAL

(Scriptural Verses: Habakkuk 3:1-2) The Book of Habakkuk 3:1 indicates that this beautiful heart-felt prayer for revival, offered by the prophet around 600 BC, was originally set to music or became a poetic song. Habakkuk prayed because revival was desperately needed. God’s people had become forgetful, formal and careless in their devotion and obedience to God. They had almost lost their testimony, God’s holy name was not honored, and His kingdom was not being extended. How relevant this study is for our own times! - Because our greatest need today is for spiritual revival. Our greatest need is not for more evangelistic meetings (although we thank God for these), for more money or for better methods. The greatest need is for spiritual revival, for a fresh infusion of divine life into the Church, for an awakening in the lives of God’s people and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It was for this that Habakkuk prayed. Let us examine his prayer:-  1. The...

Revive Me According to Thy Word.

Revive Me According to Thy Word.

Our Brokenness The Great Cover-up is Our Sin: This is Our Problems If we are honest with ourselves, we would find that we are much more broken than we think. Of course we usually do not think about ourselves in this way. We rather pride ourselves in how good we are. We pretend that we have no problems. In order to keep up the game, we try to think that a big degree, being famous, landing a good job or owning a great house or propriety or car shows how ‘good’ we are. We love to cover over our spiritual, moral, social or marital problems. But in fact, we are broken, and we need fixing. Jesus said it this way, ‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire,...

God is Calling for Intercessors.

God is Calling for Intercessors.

Scripture: Ephesians 3:14-20 - Paul Interceded for the Church. GOD IS LOOKING FOR MEN AND WOMEN WHO WILL PRAY CONTINUALLY WITHOUT CEASING. 1TIM. 2:1-4; ROM. 8:26; EZEKIEL 22:30; JAMES 5: 16 1Timothy 2:1-4: I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3  For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;  4  Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Romans 8:16. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Ezekiel 22:30. And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the...

Prevailing Prayer

Prevailing Prayer

Charles Finney The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.- James 5:16. There are two kinds of means requisite to promote a revival: the one to influence man, the other to influence God. The truth is employed to influence men, and prayer to move God. When I speak of moving God, I do not mean that God's mind is changed by prayer, or that His disposition or character is changed. But prayer produces such a change in us as renders it consistent for God to do as it would not be consistent for Him to do otherwise. When a sinner repents, that state of feeling makes it proper for God to forgive him. God has always been ready to forgive him on that condition, so that when the sinner changes his feelings and repents, it requires no change of feeling in God to pardon him. It is the sinner’s repentance that renders His forgiveness proper, and is the occasion of...

Greatest Need of the Church today is Prevailing Prayer

Greatest Need of the Church today is Prevailing Prayer

The greatest need of God today is for men and women who know how to prevail in prayer – mighty intercessors, tireless prevailers, people who will persevere in prayer battle and prayer conquest until heaven’s powers are released and God’s will is done in the practical situations on earth. God’s cause creeps forward timidly and slowly when there are more organizers than agonizers, more workers than prevailing prayer warriors. We need prayer warriors who have seen the heart of God, who have experienced the power and glory of the cross, who know the Bible meaning and significance of the Day of Judgment, heaven and hell. We need prayer warriors who feel the slavery, the absence of any eternal hope, and the doom of the unsaved; who feel the transforming power, joy, and glory from Christ of the saved. We need prayer warriors who pray as though God is God and as though Satan is Satan.     God seeks people to prevail in...

Call to Prayerforce Engagement

Call to Prayerforce Engagement

"The cry of the Spirit coming from the Throne Room of God is a divine, universal call to prayer ... never before has there been a greater need for Christians to know how to pray with power, to pray prayers that are beyond ordinary prayer, and that are divinely energized and charged by the Holy Spirit. Normal prayers of Christians are insufficient to provide this world with the spiritual breakthroughs that we must have now. Dr. Morris Cerullo. Our prayers, now more than ever, must become spiritual nuclear weapons that will devastate the powers of Hell. Christ desires for us to live in a powerful, supernatural dimension of prayer where nothing is impossible for us! Do not be satisfied with the status quo! Do not be satisfied with living below the full potential of the true power of prayer that Christ intended for His Church to possess! Let the cry of your heart today be, “Lord, teach me to pray! Teach me...
