Kingdom pursuit

Kingdom pursuit

Kingdom Pursuit The pursuance of the Kingdom of God reveals the heart of God for man. Matthew 6:33, shows how God so desires to liberate man from a wasteful life pursuit which attains nothing. God commands everybody to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and has clearly revealed how He has tied access to all others things which man needs to the Kingdom of God. This also reveals how God exposes access to unlimited resources that guarantees mastery, liberty and dominion. We also see how openly hangs the keys to unlimited blessings and directing us to get it. On this, I conclude that God is good and has no evil intention. God preceded with exposing fruitless paths that guarantees nothing upon which many thread to access salvation, peace, joy, wealth, health and so on. Now why would God command that we seek the Kingdom above our immediate needs? The wisdom of this lies in the command given to...

The Power of the Armour of God

The Power of the Armour of God

The armour of God is the most powerful weapons a believer has to exercise dominance against the forces of evil. In Ephesians 6:11 (NKJV), the Bible says ''Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil'' and on this scripture, we are going to expound the understanding embedded in it. I will start by saying that God has a way of bringing to pass His purposes and in that we see the wisdom of God. We see this in Genesis 21:12, ''And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called''. In this verse, we see God specifically reveal the channel where the messiah was going to arise from and insists on it. This means God will...

The Sound of War

The Sound of War

Though Jesus came down by reason of the love of God, he also came with additional assignments. And one of them was to stir up the fire in you and me to battle the enemy. Jesus declares in Luke 12:49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled"! For those of us that are not aware, there is a war going on in the reals of the spirit, and we find ourselves in the midst of a fierce battle. God didn't plan for us to become casualties of war. Man was born at a time of war but God didn't plan for us to become casualties of war. For the Scriptures declare in 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Why is there war? What is the cause of it? The Scriptures exposed the intent that the devil declares in his heart...

Called to Fight

Called to Fight

Called to fight The Christian life is one of constant warfare and battles. Failure to understand this will lead to disappointments and frustration. In the scripture above, Paul reminded Timothy that God has called him to be a soldier and should see himself as a soldier. But why should we see ourselves as soldiers? Because man was created at a time when there was war and darkness was already on the earth. In Genesis 1, it can clearly be seen that God didn’t destroy the Darkness but separated it from the Light. The Darkness here stands for the kingdom of Satan. The Devil and his angels were casted down to the earth waiting for their final judgement. The responsibility was to keep the Devil and his angels out of the affairs of men. We were to follow the footsteps of God by separating the light from the Darkness. To do this God gave us the authority in Genesis 1:26 to dominate the...

The Power of a War Room!

The Power of a War Room!

By now, you’ve probably seen the movie War Room once or more.  It’s truly amazing how a movie on prayer could make such a huge impact. The acting was superb, the story line touching, and the topic unsurpassed. I found myself challenged with heart to change the way pray and war every day.  It wasn’t an accident that this movie came out at a time such as this, a time when the war is escalating and God is looking for warriors willing to fight the good fight of faith.  In the movie, Miss Clara, leads young Elizabeth Jordan on a prayer journey to fight for her marriage. She demonstrates beautifully that prayer is the only thing that can heal the brokenness in both her heart and her husband’s heart. Miss Clara speaks great truth. Here are a couple things she says: You need to do your fighting in prayer! You got to plead with God so that He can do only what He can...

Christians often use the term “war room prayer” in reference to spiritual warfare, which is clearly taught in Scripture. War room prayer involves putting on the armor of God (see Ephesians 6:10-11), using spiritual weapons to demolish spiritual strongholds (see 2 Corinthians 10:4-5) and praying for protection against our spiritual enemy (see 1 Peter 5:8-9).  It is vitally important for us as believers to remember that there is spiritual warfare going on all around us so that we can be fully equipped to stand firm on the truths of God’s Word. While we do need to be at peace...

Not just a military facility or political command center, but a space where believers go to battle against a very real enemy.  You need a war room prayer strategy. Matthew 6:6 (NKJV) says; “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” You’ve likely seen or heard of the hit movie War Room staring Priscilla Shirer.  The film illustrates the impact prayer has on us and our situations.  It’s a cinematic reminder of the authority promised us in 2 Corinthians 10:7-8 and the power we possess in 2 Timothy 1:7. It’s time to claim that authority and harness that power!  How to Create a War Room Prayer Strategy: 1.    Be Proactive and Prepared It’s...

War Room: A 30-Day Boot Camp

After Reading - kindly watch the video below. The following is a free resource to help you get started and build on the motivation of wanting to grow and strengthen your prayer life after viewing the War Room movie below.   Day 1: Elizabeth begins reading the papers taped to Clara’s closet and asks Clara, “You wrote prayers for every area of your life?” Clara replies, “Yes! A prayer strategy!” In a recent interview, Alex Kendrick said, “We have plans for everything—careers, finances, health. But what about a strategy for prayer for our lives, our spouses, and our children?” This movie and that interview prompted me to put together this 30-day prayer calendar of how to create your personal prayer strategy and “War Room.” The strategy begins by examining your circumstances right now, and visualizing how things should be—and could be. As you pray over these relationships and responsibilities, write down plans and procedures for getting from here to there. This means producing a prayer strategy so that God...

To deride is to laugh at scornfully.
