THE GATE OF EVIL/WRONG ASSOCIATION (Part 2)
This is one of the widest gates of hell. In Psalm 1:1-6, the Bible calls it the ungodly. Ultimate destruction awaits the ungodly. The worst thing that can happen to the godly is to frolic with the ungodly and end up where they will end.
Everyone you come in across in life is a gate, either a gate of hell or a gate of heaven. There is no intermediate gate of gate or purgatory. What differentiates the gate of heaven from the gate of hell is the connection. Who are you connected to? Whose spirit if leading you? If it is the Holy Spirit, He will lead you to heaven but if it is a demonic spirit, their headquarters is hell. Every gate has a gate man who takes instructions from his boss. Evangelism is the righteous gate confronting the gate of heaven versus the gate of hell.
Human beings are like elevators; they either take you up or down. Every person that comes into your life either adds value or removes something. The role of wisdom is to help you know the difference – difference between people, gates, places, things, difference between good and evil, high and low, up and down, white and black, right and wrong. One of the seven pillars of wisdom is discernment; it will help you to discern gates.
Jesus Christ, the pattern Son, said, in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me”. Nobody can enter heaven except through Christ. He is the door – John 10: 7 & 9, anyone not connected to Christ has missed the gate of heaven. There is no neutrality; anyone not heading to heaven is going to hell. Take note that hell was not originally designed for human beings but for Satan and his demons. Unfortunately, many people die on a daily basis and go to hell. The Bible says that it is not the will of God that any should perish, God has made ample provision for your salvation but He will never violate your will. With your will you make choices. One of the things that man lost when he sinned in Eden was the ability to choose right. Man acquired a diseased perception of reality, he acquired a twisted mentality, a crooked mindset and his will became united with the will of the serpent in opposition to the will of the Almighty God.
Many Christians have abnegated their positions to the enemies at the gate. Nobody can stumble into heaven. Even the thief on the cross recognized Jesus as the way. Access determines your allocation; your location determines your allocation. You cannot take possession of what you have not accessed.
