186 people have died due to torrential rains and landslides in Kerala, affecting more than 10 lakh people.* Families are still trapped in their houses in several districts of Kerala and are awaiting rescue. Road transport, train and airline services are disrupted due to flooding. A red alert has been issued in all the 14 districts of the state as IMD declares a high possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in coming days.
Lives are in danger as people are stranded, left without shelter, safe drinking water and food. High water levels have destroyed livelihood leaving families in desperate need of help.
