And fight they did. Israel suffered a terrible defeat that day.
Today the enemy is still relentless. That’s why attacks on Christian families, finances, health, children, churches and our communities are only going to intensify every day.

Make no mistakes about this…
As believers, we’re engaged in a drag-out, knock-down fight, whether you know it or not. It has been so from the very beginning.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. – Eph. 6:12 ESV
In this battle…
We’re fighting with spiritual weapons that thrill our fans (heavenly cloud of witnesses), enrage our enemies and baffle our opponents into paralyzed impotence.
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. – 2 Cor 10:4-5
We will take the fight to the enemy … at the midnight hour.
We will never apologize, never explain, never surrender.
Always attack. We are armed with the ultimate spiritual weapon of warfare.
Talking about this weapon, E.M. Bounds, one of the greatest prayer teachers of the 19th century, made some of the most astonishing statements.
He said:
- Prayer is the secret of power.
- Prayer is the force that shapes the world.
- Prayer puts God in full force in the world.
- Failure to pray is failure in all of life.
- When faith ceases to pray, it ceases to live.
- The most important lesson we can learn is how to pray.
- The very life and prosperity of God’s cause depends on prayer.
- The believer who is the most highly skilled in prayer will do the most for God.
- Prayer has the incredible ability to arrest and change even the purposes of God.
- The more praying there is in the world, the better the world will be and the mightier the forces against evil everywhere.
- When God’s house on earth is a house of prayer, then God’s house in heaven is busy and powerful in its plans and movements.
- The one who can wield the power of prayer is the strong one, the holy one, in Christ’s kingdom. He or she is one of God’s heroes, God’s saint, God’s agent, God’s servant.
- (To pray) is out of date, almost a lost art, and the greatest benefactor this age could have is the man who will bring the preachers and the Church back to prayer.
