2 Chronicle 7:14–15
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer [that is made] in this place.
We are delighted that we are able to offer you the opportunity to share your prayer requests with us as well as to join us in prayer for others through this free online resource, designed specifically to meet your needs.
The Scriptures exhort us to share our requests with others as well as to pray for others. Paul wrote to the Philippians Christians, “Be careful for nothing: but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Phil 4: 6 -7).
However, he also tells us that it is also God’s will that we pray for each other! In his letter to the church of Ephesus, Paul wrote, “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” Eph. 6:18. The Apostle James, in his epistle, wrote, “Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray one for another that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Js. 5:16.
We trust that you will take the opportunity to utilize our prayer wall to share your requests with us as well as to join us in interceding for others who also post their requests there as well. As you consider participating with us in this important prayer community, let us bear in mind the words of the Apostle James, “The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

The Center For World Prayer Command is a prayer movement that equips intercessors with ammunition to stand in the gap for loved ones, families, communities and nations through the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, and biblically centered prayer. God’s Word declares, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonia5:16–18-18) Again, scripture says, “I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one”. (Ezekiel 22:30) Learn More
An intercessor is someone who avails themselves to speak to God on behalf of others through prayer. A person who takes time to pray for the needs of others, for them to be delivered from oppression or for them to be able to comprehend the blessings due to them from our heavenly Father. An intercessor must operate through partnership with the Holy Spirit, who gives us the ability to love and the ability go deep into the problems and issues of those we intercede for. “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words”. (Romans 8:26) Learn More
We are intercessors; missionaries call to make intercession for many, both far and near. “On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen [intercessors]; all day and all night they will never keep silent. You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves, and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. (Isa. 62:6–7, NAS). Learn More
We mobilized and organized prayer rally for the Christian community to train their hands for war and their fingers for battle. We pray and train people to make intercession for family, communities and nations of the earth. Our world of today will radically change when God’s people get engaged in the Ministry of Intercession everywhere and anytime, 24/7. Learn More

You can communicate with your friends in a ton of different ways: phone calls, texting, writing letters or just plain talking. But even with all these modes of communication, sometimes it’s impossible to reach your friends.
Communicating with God is very different. You talk to Him through prayer. The cool thing is you can always get through! He’s never too busy to listen.
At some point in our spiritual journey, every Christian has had questions about prayer. We should never be embarrassed by the sincere questions we have about prayer, though, for they provide us a reason to search the Scripture to gain knowledge about God and to ask knowledgeable believers the questions we have about communicating with God.
Here are a few examples of questions you may have had about prayer but like me have been too embarrassed to ask:
Prayer is an encounter with God that is initiated by God in which we humbly communicate and worship the Lord, confess our sins and transgressions, and ask him to fulfill both our needs and the desires of our heart.
2. Do I have to get on my knees or close my eyes to pray?
When we look to the Bible, we find that God’s people engage in a variety of positions when they pray. There is no Biblical required position for prayer. However, certain postures can be useful aids for prayer since they help us to express reverence and humility when we encounter God.
3. Are we required to pray?
Yes, Scripture commands that we pray (c.f., 1 Samuel 12:23; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Luke 18:1). As Tim Keller says, “To fail to pray. . . is not to merely break some religious rule—it is a failure to treat God as God.”
4. Should we pray, to the Father, to the Son, or to the Holy Spirit?
All prayer should be directed to our triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Bible teaches that we can pray to one or all three, because all three are one. Prayer to one member of the Trinity is prayer to all. In Scripture we find examples of believers praying to the Father (Psalm 5:2) and to the Son (Acts 7:59). However, we never see an instance in the Bible where anyone prays to the Holy Spirit. Why is that? Because the Holy Spirit does not bear witness of himself, but to the Son (John 15:26). Nevertheless, because the Holy Spirit is God, we can pray to the Spirit directly.
5. Are there prayers that God refuses to hear?
Yes, there are at least a dozen types of prayer that God refuses to hear, such as prayers of idol-worshippers (Ezekiel 8:18), prayer requests made by those who doubt God (James 1:6–7), and prayer requests made by those refuse to pay attention to God’s law. (Proverbs 28:9, Zechariah 7:11–13).
6. Is it acceptable to repeatedly pray for the same thing?
Yes. In fact, as long as what you are praying for is within the will of God, you are encouraged by Scripture to repeatedly petition God with your request (Luke 18:1–7, Luke 11:5–12).
7. What does it mean to pray in Jesus’ name?
In John 14:13–14, Jesus teaches us to pray in his name: “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” Merely adding the words “in Jesus’ name” to our prayer has no special effect. Jesus is not giving us a magic formula that will force God to answer our prayers. What praying in Jesus’s name means is praying with the Son’s authority and asking God the Father to act upon our prayers because we come in the name of Jesus. Praying in Jesus’ name means the same thing as praying according to the will of God.
8. What is intercessory prayer?
Intercession is the act of intervening on behalf of someone who is in difficulty or trouble, pleading or petitioning for their case. Intercessory prayer is merely the act of praying—interceding to God—on behalf of someone other than yourself. Just as Jesus prayed for his disciples and other believers (John 17:6–25), Scripture makes it clear that all Christians are to pray for others.
9. How much does it cost to call God?
Nothing. You can come before God “without money and without cost” (Isaiah 55:1). Simply start talking. If you don’t have anything to say, then you can thank God for His power, protection and provision.
10. When I call, will the line be busy?
No way. Jeremiah 33:3 tells you to call, and He promises to answer. There are no restrictions mentioned. The Lord even says He will tell us incredible things we do not know.
11. Will I recognize His voice?
You are promised in John 10:4-5 that His sheep (believers like you) will know their Master’s voice. Our Shepherd is no stranger. Prayer is like chatting with a best friend.
12. Will God mute me?
If we sin, we have broken communication with Him. He will not listen if we continue making wrong choices (Psalm 66:18). But hope is not lost! Keep reading.
13. How do I get through?
Come clean about what you have done. Commit yourself to not follow the same sinful pattern. God will announce you free and clear and give you unlimited minutes once again. First John 1:9 has all the details: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
14. Have I ever put God on hold?
If you have your daily devotions in the morning and pray at breakfast, that’s a sweet start. But if you get busy at school and don’t get back with Him until doing homework that evening, you have put Him on hold. By staying connected, you can fulfill the command in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray continually.”
15. Will God ever hang up on me?
Absolutely no, not in your lifetime. Hebrews 13:5 says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” But in the original language there are no less than five negatives heaped together for extreme emphasis. So, relax; you’re covered!
16. What if I don’t know what to say to God?
Go to Scripture and see what others have prayed. The Bible, especially the book of Psalms, is full of prayers. For example, David prayed, “When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?” (Psalm 56:3-4). You might say, “Lord, school was tough today. I’m so glad I can trust You and not be scared of what will happen. You can protect me from bullies and when kids say mean things.”
17. Can I text Jesus?
Good idea! By reading His Word, you can get His message written to you. Christians through the ages have written back to God through a process called journaling. It’s like a diary to Jesus. If you express yourself better by typing on the computer, then go for it!
18. What could I talk about that will please God?
Think of what you tell close friends. What will produce a smile or make their eyes light up? We should thank the Lord for the awesome things He’s done. For example, 2 Corinthians 9:15 says, “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” Most of all, tell Him “I love you, O Lord” (Psalms 18:1). He will be delighted.
