LET’S JOIN HAND TO PRAY FOR GHANA

Today we shall be engaging in fervent prayer for the land, people and Church of Ghana. Formerly called the Gold Coast, Ghana is Africa’s biggest gold miners after South Africa. It is located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean in the sub region of West African. The name comes from the ancient Ghana Empire which means “warrior king”. They were the first African country to gain independence from the colonial powers in March 6th, 1957.

They have enjoyed increasingly stable and deepening democratic governance, youth and gender empowerment. They are rich in mineral resources and endowed with a good education system and efficient civil service, they have also made significant progress in poverty reduction.

Nonetheless Ghana began to have problems when they fell victim to corruption and mismanagement of national resources just after independence. They have suffered constraints of basic infrastructure such as feeder roads that links their economic activity to urban market centers, hospitals, and basic sanitation. The business climate is still weak and holds back productive investment, and even more disturbing is the issue of malaria epidemic that is a leading cause of morbidity in the nation.

THE NEED TO PRAY FOR GHANA

There are numerous reasons why we should pray for Ghana. The Bible says in the book of Psalm 127:1 says “except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it; unless the Lords guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain”.  No nation can really amount to anything except the Lord himself makes it so. We therefore need to always pray for Ghana for God to intervene in the affairs of the nation by choose leaders that fear God and love Him. Ghana need Leaders who will rule by righteousness, integrity and faithfulness. Only God can build a nation by using able men and women he has called and anointed to lead Ghana.

We have to pray for Ghana because there are certain age long princes of darkness that have laid a hold on the destiny of the nation and would not let them ago until they have performed all their evil desires from generations to generations. However, with fervent prayer of the Church (God’s people) the stronghold of the wicked shall be broken and taken away from them. Ghana needs your prayer support every day.

PRAY FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF GHANA

We are commanded to pray for the government of Ghana (1Timoty 2:1-4), for God to enthrone the right set of people in leadership because it is only when the righteous rule in righteousness that the people can rejoice.
We must pray that those in power today must seek divine wisdom of God to function effectively and efficiently; the famous king Solomon was able to achieve as much results as he did, because the wisdom of God was in him and at work with him.

Pray For Ghana

More so, the Bible says that it is through wisdom that a house is built (Prov. 24). Every government and leaders need wisdom to build the nation that will bring God into the center of affairs. This can be when and where people of God begin fervently interceding on their knee before God for the people of Ghana.

PRAY FOR THE ECONOMY OF GHANA

In the book of Deuteronomy 8:18, it is written that we should remember the Lord our God for it is He who can give us power to make wealth. Wealth is much more than finances, it goes beyond prosperity, and it has to do with the peace and happiness of the people.  Therefore, it’s impossible for any nation to enjoy God’s blessings without God and total obedient to God’s Word no matter their level of education or the availability of mineral resources that the land possesses. We need God to command his blessings upon the land of Ghana.

Poverty in the land drives away happiness that people need. It makes both the people and the land mourn for lack of basic needs and food supply. This takes away peace and joy of the people. When the land produces in abundant and the economic is buoyant it gives them a voice among other nations. Scripture declares that a borrower will always be a slave to the lender, so it is for nations that have to keep depending largely on other nations for its survival. Effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man makes the different. (James 5:16-18)

PRAY FOR THE CITIZENS OF GHANA

The bible says that the days of a man are short but full of so many troubles. Everyone both men and women need prayers to survive in other to keep him/her safety and progressively moving forward in their live and daily work. The citizens of Ghana need to be prayed for continually without ceasing so that they can scale through the hurdles and difficulties that confront them both at home, work and family life. Let’s pray for Ghanaian for God’s mercy and favor that will draw them closer to their make in heaven and to fulfill their God’s given mandate for their lives and posterity here on earth.

PRAY FOR THE CHURCH IN GHANA

It’s our primary responsibility to intercede for the Church of the Living God as people of God all around the world because we belong to one same body of Christ, the family God here on earth. We have one vision, one mission and one destiny in respect of our current location or abode. The author of the book of Hebrews encourages us to strengthen the weak hand and the feeble knees. God wants us to pray for one another, strengthen one another and hold each one up in faith regardless of our current location or distance. We’re all called to fight the same battle of faith, run same race of the faith and we are commanded to contend for the faith, this is not an easy task. The Church in Ghana needs the Universal Church to keep praying for and encouraging one another in the love of God.

Let’s pray for the unity and love among the local churches and its leaders in Ghana. In the Gospel of John 17 Christ prayed earnestly for his Church, the body of Christ. He pleaded with the Father to keep them together that ‘they may be one’; we must also pray as Jesus prayed to experience this unity of oneness in the Church in Ghana today. In our pray for Ghana let us remember the whole continent of Africa and pray the Lord of the harvest to send another revive and great harvest of souls on the continent.

Pray for the Church in Ghana to develop a missionary vision and the sense of committed for the unreached people’s group and villages across Ghana. Pray that Ghana will have sincere and true Christian who have make bold confess in Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, those who will contend for the faith and be true witnesses for Christ. Pray that the hidden agenda of Islamism in Ghana will be totally thwarted by an act of God in Ghana.
