The armour of God is the most powerful weapons a believer has to exercise dominance against the forces of evil. In Ephesians 6:11 (NKJV), the Bible says ”Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” and on this scripture, we are going to expound the understanding embedded in it.
I will start by saying that God has a way of bringing to pass His purposes and in that we see the wisdom of God. We see this in Genesis 21:12, ”And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called”. In this verse, we see God specifically reveal the channel where the messiah was going to arise from and insists on it. This means God will not use any other way apart from that which He has defined to use. Why is this relevant? This leads to my second statement, God has chosen to rule and govern through man on earth. This is very crucial to note, God who has a plan to accomplish His own purposes has chosen to govern the world through man and we see this throughout the Bible. In Ezekiel 22:30, ”And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none”. We see God confining His influence in the world with human cooperation. We also see God who wanted to deliver the children of Israel, He went to a man named Moses and this is found in Exodus 3:9-10, ”Now, therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt”. So God has chosen to rule through man on earth and is demonstrate that God protects the mediums with which He cooperates to establish His reign. So if man is the way by which God reigns on earth, then who is this man? in John 14:6 ”Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”. In another place, scripture declares in Ephesians 3:17 ”That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love”, we, therefore, have Jesus Christ dwell in our hearts by faith which reveals that the way of God choose to dwells in us. In the lives of believer dwells the plan of God, his power, wisdom, authority, healing, and all heavenly treasures. This makes the believer dangerous to the kingdom of darkness. Therefore because of what you carry, you are a target of the enemy. The devil plan is to be a hindrance of God’s way, wisdom, power, authority, love and mercies, because these divine virtues is deposited in a believer by faith in Jesus Christ. The Child of God faces a lot of trials, temptations and attacks from the enemy simply just to Satan plan is to destroy him or her. Many of our challenges are rooted in our inability to comprehend why we face these challengers. I want you to know that it’s because of what you carry inside you by faith in Jesus Christ. What you carry is something that will destroy the devil power and his demons. Therefore don’t give up, keep fighting because God has put in place a protection system to secure you and deliver you in times of trouble. If you are going through a hard time, I encourage you to call on the name of Jesus, and you will be saved.
Now let’s review God’s way of protecting as well as fulfilling his plans and purpose

So putting on the Armour of God indicates who is in charge. As believers, we must not downplay the value and the importance of operating in the Armour of God because the Armour of God was forged with sacrifice, pain, love, wrath, judgment, truth, faith, prophecy, Jealousy (God detest Idol worship), righteousness, long-suffering(the cross experience), patience (slow to anger), endurance (Jesus endured the cross), power (resurrection), the list goes on and on……..
Your Prayers
1. Call to Jesus for the deliverance of your soul and renewal of your heart and mind
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. (Joel 2:32)
2. Pray against any charms and spells working to weaken your faith in Jesus’ name! Numbers 23:23
Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
3. Pray against forces orchestrating your path towards fire circumstances and may the Angel of the Lord strike them down in Jesus name. 2 Kings 17:17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
4. Pray that any strongman in your family, neighborhood, corporate life, church working against the power of God, may they be struck down in Jesus’ name. Acts 8:9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which before time in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
5. In Jesus’ name, Lord position me to strike down my opponent, that seeks to destroy me. Let every giant in my life die!!!
6. Pray that any disease or sickness or affliction and burdens upon you be destroyed because of the balm in Gilead in Jesus’ name. Jeremiah 8:22, Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
