Kingdom pursuit

Kingdom pursuit

Kingdom Pursuit The pursuance of the Kingdom of God reveals the heart of God for man. Matthew 6:33, shows how God so desires to liberate man from a wasteful life pursuit which attains nothing. God commands everybody to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and has clearly revealed how He has tied access to all others things which man needs to the Kingdom of God. This also reveals how God exposes access to unlimited resources that guarantees mastery, liberty and dominion. We also see how openly hangs the keys to unlimited blessings and directing us to get it. On this, I conclude that God is good and has no evil intention. God preceded with exposing fruitless paths that guarantees nothing upon which many thread to access salvation, peace, joy, wealth, health and so on. Now why would God command that we seek the Kingdom above our immediate needs? The wisdom of this lies in the command given to...

The Kingdom in Focus

The Kingdom in Focus

The Kingdom in Focus Mathew 6:33 is one of most commonly quoted scriptures in the bible. There are many who quote it but their lives doesn't depict what they say. Their lives doesn't depict what they say because they don't understand what that scripture means. Hear is the Question: Why should we seek the Kingdom? What is the logic behind that scripture? In order to fully understand its important let go back to verse 25 when Jesus started laying the premise for verse 33 of Mathew 6. In verse 25 of Mathew 6, Jesus said; Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment. According to Jesus your body is more important than the clothe you will put on your body and life is more important than meat. Why? The clothe is necessary...

The Power of the Armour of God

The Power of the Armour of God

The armour of God is the most powerful weapons a believer has to exercise dominance against the forces of evil. In Ephesians 6:11 (NKJV), the Bible says ''Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil'' and on this scripture, we are going to expound the understanding embedded in it. I will start by saying that God has a way of bringing to pass His purposes and in that we see the wisdom of God. We see this in Genesis 21:12, ''And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called''. In this verse, we see God specifically reveal the channel where the messiah was going to arise from and insists on it. This means God will...

Eden – The Will of God

Eden – The Will of God

The whole Armour of God. When God created heaven and the earth, the Bible recounts that the earth was without form and darkness was on the surface of the deep (Genesis 1:3) and God said let there be light and there was light and God separated the light from Darkness. It is important to note that God didn’t destroy the darkness but only separated it from the light. In Ephesians 6:12, we are made to understand that we wrestle against principalities and rulers of Darkness. Again, in 2Peter 2:4, we are again reminded that these rulers of Darkness are fallen, angels. Armour of God Therefore, the Darkness that covered the surface of the deep in Genesis 1:3 was referring to Satan and his fallen angels. In Mathew 25:41, Jesus said that hell or the everlasting fire was created for the Devil and his angels which is the final judgement. Therefore, when God separated the light from darkness, he separated the...

The Sound of War

The Sound of War

Though Jesus came down by reason of the love of God, he also came with additional assignments. And one of them was to stir up the fire in you and me to battle the enemy. Jesus declares in Luke 12:49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled"! For those of us that are not aware, there is a war going on in the reals of the spirit, and we find ourselves in the midst of a fierce battle. God didn't plan for us to become casualties of war. Man was born at a time of war but God didn't plan for us to become casualties of war. For the Scriptures declare in 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Why is there war? What is the cause of it? The Scriptures exposed the intent that the devil declares in his heart...

Called to Fight

Called to Fight

Called to fight The Christian life is one of constant warfare and battles. Failure to understand this will lead to disappointments and frustration. In the scripture above, Paul reminded Timothy that God has called him to be a soldier and should see himself as a soldier. But why should we see ourselves as soldiers? Because man was created at a time when there was war and darkness was already on the earth. In Genesis 1, it can clearly be seen that God didn’t destroy the Darkness but separated it from the Light. The Darkness here stands for the kingdom of Satan. The Devil and his angels were casted down to the earth waiting for their final judgement. The responsibility was to keep the Devil and his angels out of the affairs of men. We were to follow the footsteps of God by separating the light from the Darkness. To do this God gave us the authority in Genesis 1:26 to dominate the...
