The LORD is a Man of War

The LORD is a Man of War

“The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name” (Ex 15:3) Read: Numbers 16:28-34 In the Heavens Our God is a super war veteran. He is an expert in fighting in the heavenlies and galaxies. He is also an expert in fighting on earth. He is the Lord of wars. If you think you know how to fight, wait until you meet my God. He never loses any battle. God is the Man of War and He is all by Himself. He does not need anyone by His side to fight and win any battle. He is all powerful, all knowing, almighty and holds all things by His might Power. You and I need Him always and at all time to fight and win our battles. On the earth This Scripture text in Numbers 16:28-34 shows how the Lord demonstrated His prowess and expertise in fighting on land. When He fights on land, everything on it becomes His weapon, and cooperates...

The Sound of War

The Sound of War

Though Jesus came down by reason of the love of God, he also came with additional assignments. And one of them was to stir up the fire in you and me to battle the enemy. Jesus declares in Luke 12:49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled"! For those of us that are not aware, there is a war going on in the reals of the spirit, and we find ourselves in the midst of a fierce battle. God didn't plan for us to become casualties of war. Man was born at a time of war but God didn't plan for us to become casualties of war. For the Scriptures declare in 1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. Why is there war? What is the cause of it? The Scriptures exposed the intent that the devil declares in his heart...

Called to Fight

Called to fight The Christian life is one of constant warfare and battles. Failure to understand this will lead to disappointments and frustration. In the scripture above, Paul reminded Timothy that God has called him to be a soldier and should see himself as a soldier. But why should we see ourselves as soldiers? Because man was created at a time when there was war and darkness was already on the earth. In Genesis 1, it can clearly be seen that God didn’t destroy the Darkness but separated it from the Light. The Darkness here stands for the kingdom of Satan. The Devil and his angels were casted down to the earth waiting for their final judgement. The responsibility was to keep the Devil and his angels out of the affairs of men. We were to follow the footsteps of God by separating the light from the Darkness. To do this God gave us the authority in Genesis 1:26 to dominate the...

Our God is a Man of War

"The Lord is a Man of war” Introduction Those who are biblically and spiritually ignorant forever say that God is a God of love and peace (which He is). Any notion that God is wrathful and warlike is, to them, anathema! Yet, God is called a “man of war”, regardless of man’s wishful thinking and selective understanding. The Lord, Man of War Exodus 15:3: “The LORD [is] a man of war: the LORD [is] his name.” The error of these ignorant fellows is to only accept what they want God to be like. They have formed an image in their minds of what they wish God to be, and refute anything that sullies that image. Our God cannot be marginalized, he is bigger than our imagination, God cannot be intellectualized, he is bigger than out intelligent and he cannot be emotionalized because he is bigger than our emotions. Frankly, their images are irrelevant! God is whatever He says He is, and He does whatever He does. We...
